Google Pixel C Review

Along with the launch of its new Nexus smartphones, Google in a rather surprising move announced that it will be releasing a new tablet, however, the Google Pixel C does not feature the Nexus branding rather it is an addition to the Google Pixel Series.

Design
Despite being an android device, Pixel C shares a lot of design similarities with its laptop counterpart. There’s nothing that’s not to love about its design. Like the Chromebook Pixel, the Pixel C features a light bar, which can be used to check the battery status. In addition, the ports are kept to a minimal as the rest of the design. Beautifully machined dual stereo speakers can be found at the opposite sides of the tablet. The power button and rocker button are made of button and show a good amount of tactile feedback.

The Pixel C may not be the lighted tablet in the world but its elegant and minimalist design makes it an eye catcher. One of the most important features of the tablet is the optional keyboard that is available. The sleek and elegant looking keyboard attaches itself to the tablet with the use of strong magnets. The keyboard however does not close like a laptop, rather it has to detach from the tablet and then placed face down.

Performance
The Pixel C offers quad-core NvidiaTegra X 1 processors with 3 GB RAM backed by Nvidia Maxwell GPU. The Pixel C offers an impressive processing package compared to any other tablet.

Camera
On the downside, the Pixel C features a 2.1 MP front camera so that you can make business calls along with an 8 MP rear camera. While the primary camera is able to do a good job in well-lit situations, the quality of pictures immediately starts to worsen in low light conditions.

Bottom Line
The Pixel C is a fun device when it comes to gaming and media consumption however for its price, it does not offer any more functionality than any other Android tablet.
