HP wishes to do more than just stick to the basics. With the introduction of the HP Photosmart 7520, it is easy to understand that even though the printer has been designed for home use, it does possess office-centric features. The initiative is remarkable considering that the device is an All in One Printer which costs nothing more than $199.
Features
The printer surprisingly makes use of its predecessor’s features while incorporating newer ones. This (sort of) makes up for the rather simple design. In addition to the basic printing, copying and scanning functionalities, the printer can print and scan from and to memory cards and USB flash drives. In addition, the device also allows you to preview your photos on its 4.3 inch display.
The tray can deliver up to 125 pages at a time, which though feasible may not be great in comparison to the other models. However, it does have a separate photo paper tray that can house sheets up to 5 x 7 inches. This ease of not having to switch between photo sheets and papers on a single tray is a blessing.
In addition, the HP Photosmart 7520 allows connectivity using a built in WI-FI adapter. It also makes use of printing apps like Apple Air Print or HP ePrint.
Performance
Based on tests, the printer can print 3.7 pages per minute. It is, however, faster than its competitors. The output quality is also brilliantly defined and offers distinct color schemes to provide more than the expected results. The HP Photosmart 7520 is overall an effective inkjet printer that goes out of its way by offering extraordinary graphic quality for home and office purposes.
The Verdict
The HP Photosmart 7520 is definitely a great addition to your home or office. It is nicely priced for the features and output it provides. However, it will only do you good if you do not have massive printing needs.
