During GITEX Global 2022 in Dubai, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Syed Amin Ul Haque, engaged with various IT corporations like Huawei and successful startups.
The minister showed gratitude to startups participating at GITEX and revealed that the investment in Pakistani startups has grown by 30% in the last four years. This increase is seen as a positive sign of confidence in government initiatives.
At the Middle East’s largest technology expo, the Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated by the minister with support from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
Zohaib Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA), highlighted the unique skills showcased by Pakistani IT businesses under the P@SHA umbrella at GITEX 2022.
He mentioned that the expo has provided significant opportunities for Pakistani IT firms in terms of business creation, resulting in substantial financial gains.
Khan expressed optimism that tangible outcomes such as export orders, investment opportunities, skill enhancement partnerships, and collaborative ventures would emerge from the event.
GITEX is renowned as the most prominent exhibition for IT, ITeS, and related technologies in the Middle East and GCC region. This year, 29 P@SHA member companies have participated in GITEX in collaboration with PSEB.
