Please scroll to the bottom and read all updates before proceeding with this project to get the best results. I ended up using painters tape to see how it stacked up and it was much easier to apply and looks better IMHO.

? Updates ?
9/3/19
– Anchor electrical tape VERY GOOD on back of screen to prevent it coming off
– Don’t overly stretch the electrical tape, less tension actually works better
– If you get a little bubble slowly work it out with your finger nail
– If you have hockey tape or black gaffers tape try that since it has a dull finish
– This is easier to do before mounting the TV on the wall if possible
Update 9/9/19
– I tried flat black painters masking tape instead of electrical tape and it was not only way easier to apply to the screen but it looks better against the flat black wall
– The trick is make sure you go nice and slow so you don’t rip the tape since it’s a bit more fragile than the stretchy vinyl electrical tape but highly recommend it instead
– I was able to get the electrical tape to stay on with the anchors on the back however one corner did start to come undone because I didn’t anchor it well. The painters tape is under no tension so worked better!
