The Lenovo Miix 510: A Flexible 2-in-1 PC

The Lenovo Miix 510 is a 2-in-1 Windows tablet that offers users with the portability of a large-screen mobile and a keyboard cover for long typing sessions. It’s one of those few tablets that are dubbed as a true laptop replacement, providing the freedom to do anything that you can expect from a laptop.

You can remove the keyboard when you don’t require it and has a fantastic display. Reflecting back on the hardware quality of Lenovo’s products, this one shows incredible engineering as it is thing and light. Even though it is made from several different parts, it feels like it’s machined out of a single piece of aluminum.

The Miix 510 flaunts a premium look and feel, with its magnesium-aluminum framework and its modish mechanical watchband hinges. The underside of the keyboard folio is from a synthetic-leather-like-material. You get full-size directional keys instead of a simple right Shift key with Lenovo devices. This can lead to clicking the up arrow every when you want to click that Shift key for using a hashtag an asterisk.

As compared to Miix 700, the Miix 510 takes things up to an advanced level. It features an Intel Core i processor (6th Gen Skylake). This implies that this model needs fan cooling. This also makes the new model is not completely noise-free, however, it cannot be called loud either.

The 3.3 x 1.8-inch button-less touchpad accurately track fingers and give a solid feel to clicking. Both two-finger and three-finger horizontal scrolling works flawlessly and without delay.

Good
The attractive hinged kickstand offer massive positioning flexibility. It also has peripherals with adapters and a USB-C port for video output. Unlike other similar models, Lenovo provides an impressive backlit keyboard cover. Palm rejection and Active Pen work well too.

Bad
There is no memory card slot if users are looking for more expansion. The Active Pen comes with an addition $40 and the tiny right-hand shift key can be irritating to most users.
