The LG G Pad X 8.0: An Android Tablet

For users who wish to have a great experience while watching videos, browsing or reading, the G Pad X/III 8.0 is a mid-range Android tablet. LG claims that the device has been designed to facilitate users with reading and entertainment in addition to taking care of basic productivity tasks. While the 16:10 ratio is amazingly good for viewing videos, a major chunk of avid readers would rely on 4:3 dimensions. In fact, reading is a bigger focus since the tablet comprises of a hardware button to activate the ‘reading mode’ that efficiently reduces the level of blue light emitted by the screen, which can be harmful.

Q Pair, an app that is unique to LG tablets has been popular for older models and enables to connect your phone to the G Pad for receiving text messages and notifications. This means you can use the tablet for longer hours without having to reach for your phone. Apart from that the tablet has QuickRemote that helps you control your DVD, Blu-Ray player, or TV, without using the remote, thanks to the IR Blaster.

You also have the option to uninstall some of the applications which come pre-loaded on the device. This means you can free up as much space as you want for allowing more room for downloads. Talking in terms of productivity, the tablet features a full-sized USB port, which is a rare sight in android tablets, particularly of this size. The device comes with 2GB RAM and the 8-inch screen has a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

A few other unique features include Knock Code. This lets you unlock the tablet by entering a sequence or pattern, even when the device is not in active use. The tablet can also run multiple apps simultaneously without much lag or any other issues. However, this feature is generally limited to the applications which are compatible with the device.
