Wacom MobileStudio Pro: A Lightweight Mobile Computer

Wacom’s latest MobileStudio Pro tablet PC combines a thinner and classier tablet with a new Wacom Pro Pen 2. It will compete with other rival tablets, like Lenovo’s P40 Yoga or Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4, that are intended for assisting creative professionals who like to draw with a pen. The tablet is available in two sizes, a 13.3-inch display and a 15.6-inch screen. The 13.3-inch model is considerably thinner, lighter and better looking than its predecessor.

Different from most general mobile tablets marketed for the masses, Wacom’s MobileStudio Pro is specially designed for meeting the needs of creative professionals and how they work. Wacom has also introduced its new Pro Pen 2 with the device, which offers 400% better accuracy and pressure sensitivity than its previous iteration. The company is striving hard to improve its pen performance for delivering an intuitive experience that is smooth and exceeds user expectations. With virtually lag-free tracking, it is easier to maintain concentration and interest for longer periods of time for more productivity.

A few time-saving productivity features are added to speed up the creative workflow, like ExpressKeys, Touch Ring and well-located buttons on the pen, enabling users to easily set up single touch shortcuts. Moreover, the optional Wacom Link technology allows users to attach MobileStudio Pro to any Mac or computer and use it as a regular Cintiq display, a grand feature for Mac users who like to work on the Mac OS in their studios.

Despite the fact that individual models of MobileStudio Pro vary in features, every model comes with solid Intel processors with memory and storage configurations that range from 64GB to 512GB. Quick computer-generated imagery along with digital content creation is brought to life with the NVIDIA Quadro graphics on the 15.6″ model. A few models of MobileStudio Pro feature the Intel 3D RealSense camera and users can use applications such as the ZBrush or Fusion 360 for creating a 3D model.

MobileStudio Pro is likely to be available online and at a few retail locations in late November.
